Hi! I have few photos that I took during the Bituon han Leyte Pageant Night..

This is the fireworks display in RTR Plaza after the winner was announced..

I consider this nice since I am not a professional photographer..

 

 

 

Sangyaw Festival 2010

 

Sangyaw Festival was founded by the Former First Lady Imelda Marcos during the reign Marcos. It was first held the 1970s but was cancelled 1987 when the reign of the Marco’s ended. It was revived in 2008 thru the effort of the mayor in the Tacloban City.

Sangyaw is one of the Festival celebrated in Tacloban City annually aside from the Pintados Kasadyaan Festival.  Sangyaw is a waray – waray language which means “to herald news”.

It is usually held on the 29th of June after the Pintados Kasadyaan Festival which is celebrated on the 27th of June and before the City Fiesta which is on the 30th of June.

The trophies are displayed on the left side of the stage during the Grand Presentation Balyuan Amphitheater….

I also took some of the photographers who were taking their perfect shot.. Good thing to know that some of them is not a local from Tacloban and they only came to witness the event…

Furthermore, I am looking forward for a better event next year.. most especially I hope that they can control the crowd because it was really overcrowded that I forcedly went out and was not able to finish watching the presentation because of the crowdedness…
